This is one of my Oldest and Most Favorite Quilts. But I must Downsize and Pass them on.

Measures 77" x 80"

This is Almost completly Hand Quilted. About 5 -12 stictches per inch average/

It is a Unique Design.

The Colors on the front are still vivbrent. Mostly Red Print Background with Striped fabric and with solid squares of blue.

The batting is a felted wool or cotton.

The condition of this quilt is not too bad for its age. There are a lot of worn, torn and stained areas on this especially on the back and around the edge where the binding was for the top of the quilt. It looks like it was a silk or satin binding along one edge of the blanket. That fabric has worn apart.

For the most part the front of the quilt is rather nice looking. It does have loose and broken threads.

The thread used was more of a heavy thread or thin string. For that period it was what they used.

I have included close up pictures to show the stitching and hand work, and also the complete condition.
