Its been a hard days night...

Welcome fans and collectors of The Beatles - George Harrison, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Ringo Starr.

A lot of excellent magazines were published back in the heyday of Beatlemania, devoted entirely to the group and featuring photos and text that are now rare and hard to find. These specialty magazines are now historical artifacts and allow us to time-travel back to the 60's and experience the impact that The Beatles had at the time. It's so great to see these early photos of the group, some of which have not appeared anywhere else and have been lost to the mists of time.

This is an opportunity to acquire one of the earliest and finest Beatles specialty magazine, simply entitled "The Beatles", published by PYX Productions in the UK in 1963 and released by Highlight Publications in the US in 1964. You will sometimes see this one with a radio station call letters on the front as the US version was often used for a promotional giveaway.

This is an excellent, high quality magazine, unlike many of the teen fan magazines of the era. The text is by Patrick Maugham, with photos by Dezo Hoffman. While this does contain some familiar Hoffman images, there are many rare and seldom-if-ever see pictures.

This is comprised of 32 pages and printed on heavy paper stock. This issue still contains the 2 page color centerfold which is often missing...see second photo.

This magazine truly stands as an amazing artifact from the heady days of Beatlemania. The text is great and the variety of photos is impressive. Great vintage condition with very minimal edge wear. 7" by 9 1/2".
