This hard to find antique doll is the ZuZu Kid, made by Ideal in 1916-17 to advertise ZuZu Ginger Snaps, made by National Biscuit Co. (later called Nabisco). She has a composition head, hands and boots, on a cloth body. She is showing her age a bit as you can see. She has a broken thumb on one hand, and a broken finger on the other. There is a hole in one boot. She has crazing and peeling on all her compo parts. She has a hole in one hip where the sawdust stuffing is showing through. One leg is a bit longer than the other. Her dress is antique but not original to her - she originally wore a yellow clown costume with stars on it. A wonderful doll to restore, or enjoy her as is.
Antique dolls may not meet contemporary safety standards for children, and should be considered collectibles for adults only.

Tiny Terri Lee fell asleep during her long trip to Texas. Initially she had adjust her eyes to the bright sunlight to wake up from her long travel. She is adjusting to her new home that she could barely stay still for the photograph. Her beauty is beyond words. She is adjusting well to be a new Texan. She says hi y'all. Loved all my dolls! I have two best friends and one adopted her children from Russia so this is a gift for her and my other friend. Then there is one set left for me...lol. So each of us will have a pair...thanks to you! Great packaging too. Hope to do business with you again!
