Old Edwardian solid silver art nouveau matchbox holder case. Fully hallmarked inside for sterling silver (lion passant) by silversmith William Comyns & sons (W.C) London (Leopards head) 1905 (k). The original hard board Bryant & May special safety match box is still with it.

Measurements are 3" x 2" x 1"

The engraving is superbly nouveau on the front with ornate cherubs making it an ideal gift for a christening box. Originally made as a matchbox case it could be used to hold cards for the more discernible owner.
