No one has ever made a mask like this, to my knowledge. It's something completely new and unique. An unholy marriage of tentacles and Steampunk, this is "His Rubbery Grasp".

The mask is hand carved from 8oz leather, shaped with no mold or form by hand, painted with colorfast acrylics in rich antiqued brown, black, and gold, and sealed with a clear acrylic for protection. The twisting tentacles have some extra special details; realistic hand made sucker rings of my own design, made from real rubber!

The cog-monocle is half of a pair of retro-look driving goggles (the right eye). Made of lightweight PVC, it is augmented with a hand carved leather side-shield and real brass cogs . It is custom-fitted to the mask (the hole behind it matches the shape of the opening) and secured with brass studs and fasteners. The cap may be unscrewed and the 50mm lens replaced. This mask comes with one amber acrylic lens.

The mask is worn with a heavy-duty dark brown leather strap, attached to the mask with bright brass Chicago screws and adjustable to any head size with an oxidized black brass buckle. The buckle has a keeper bar for excess strap, so the mask looks neat from front and back.

There is no precise pattern for this mask with these customizations, and it will never be repeated exactly. Signed, dated and numbered, this is "His Rubbery Grasp #1"
