This double marked plate with it's gorgeous landscape scene is one of a series done by Limoges artist Berton. Berton's was featured in Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Gaston.

The lovely grouping of peach and white colored roses in the foreground is a high grade transferware while the translucent lake scene with a cloudy sky and purple mountains in the background is handpainted. The artist also embellished the roses with raised highlights that you can feel if you run your fingers over them. The marks indicate the plate was made between 1889-1931.

The plate measures 8 3/4 inches and the marks say: Haviland, France, Haviland & Co., Limoges, Hand Painted. It was purchased from an Estate Sale in St. Augustine, Florida.

SHIPPING is determined from furthest point of my home. I will refund overpayment. I also combine shipping.
