This earthy necklace would make a great romantic gift for for that special man in your life--it has a rustic carving of the rune Ingwaz in the center of its almost-oval shape. The stone is a medium-grey colored polished river rock.

Ingwaz represents the earth god, a symbol of male fertility, familial love & home among other things. This Ingwaz rune comes from the "Elder Futhark" runic alphabet. Runes date back about two thousand years but this stone was much more recently engraved than the runestones found in Europe, Germany and the lands the Vikings brought them to while traveling.

Handmade necklace by Dan Murphy in NY, USA.

Gray oval stone, 1.5 inches tall by 1.25 inches wide (3.81 cm tall by 3.175 wide)
Ingwaz engraving is lightly accented with a silver color
Silver-tone lead-free solder edges
30 inch soft-brown suede cord with a knotted end (76.2 cm)

Comes packaged in the black gift box in the last image, though the bat necklace is sold separately: http://www.etsy.com/shop/GoTo?section_id=5004097
