About my fabric designs:

I've been sewing since I was a kid, but I became interested in fabric design shortly after I dusted off my sewing machine and starting sewing in earnest a few years ago. Designing fabric was a natural extension of my lifelong interest in art and illustration, and my new interest in craft.

I wanted to create fabric that was different from the things I was seeing in fabric shops: designs that reflected my own tastes and sensibilities, fabric that was beautiful but also useful in a variety of applications; patterns and colors I'd want to be wearing and living with every day.

I don't really get to dust off the sewing machine as much as I'd like, but I continue to love designing fabric, and particularly seeing what other makers create with my work!
