This piece really is the height of shabby elegance. An exquisite milk glass covered bowl/dish with a "ruffled" edge, an unusual shape, and the most wonderful worn old gold and green decoration. The lid's handle has an elegant design that really is the "icing on the cake". Much of the gold and green paint has worn off, but there's just enough left to highlight the special details of the piece. May have been a candy dish or a bowl for sugar cubes. Ample in size.

Use for display, or for storage of crafting supplies or special tiny momentos. Would make a lovely Wedding gift for the vintage enthusiast - the lid's handle is even heart-shaped! Or use in the dining room the next time you serve tea, or on your dresser. A very special piece - hard to part with, but I can't keep everything! Would like it to go to a loving home that will appreciate it . . .

Dimensions: 4-5/8" long by 3-3/4 wide across the Bowl's opening. Bottom of the Bowl measures 3-1/8" long by 2-1/4" wide. Bowl's height = 3-3/8" tall. Height of whole piece, Top & Lid together = 4-5/8" wide.

Condition: Great vintage condition! No chips or cracks; lid fits well. As noted previously, much of the painted decoration has worn away - that's really what makes it so charming. (See photos for details of condition.)

Will ship in a cardboard box with air pocket/bubble wrap. Shipping estimate represents furthest distance US Parcel Post - from East to West Coast. Your actual shipping may be less. For delivery destinations outside the US, please convo for a shipping quote.
