I love the patterns in Kente cloth and use many of them in my work. These earrings are made from paper, overlaid with prints of Kente cloth and embellished with acrylic dots, giving them an embossed look. I coat them with several layers of polyurethane so that the finished earrings look more ceramic. The dangles are African trade beads with added glass beads in shades to match the cloth--black, green, red, and gold. They are very lightweight. The round disks are 1 1/4" and altogether the earrings are about 1 7/8" long. The earwires are surgical steel. I will include the rubber stoppers to keep them safely on your ears.
