I make these squared forms on a slow treadle wheel, gently square them while they are wet and later, cut the feet. I like the architectural reference and the solid way the form sits itself on the table. This one had a lively interaction with the fire creating a pattern of spots surrounded by dozens of speckles and areas of blue-gray ash glaze. It is stoneware clay coated with a flashing slip and fired for five days in my anagama, 6" H x 6" W x 6" D
