An African design was the inspiration for this necklace. The feature of this piece is a pendant that I made by threading rows of wooden discs onto fine macramé cord. I made six rows of these wood saucers, with a small round white wooden bead at each, connecting each row. I placed the discs so that they formed a diagonal pattern of white discs with black diamond shape on one side and dark brown on the other. The white wood beads are continued up into a square bone bead. The latte coloured cord is then knotted and divded into two halves each threaded through a second square bone bead. There are three wood beads with knots between leading into a decorated knot joining into brown faux suede. The necklace is closed with an antique gold toggle fastening.
The necklace measures from end to end 48 cms. (19 inches)
The depth of the pendant 7cms. (2.75 inches)
There are earrings that go with this necklace and they will be in my shop soon! And here they are!
