This piece measures approx. 12" wide and 9-1/4" long without the tabs or hanger at the top. With the hanger it is 16" long.

For the center I used tea-dyed muslin. The border, the back of the piece, the stars and hearts are all made of homespun. The gingerbread man is tea dyed flannel. I used vintage buttons to decorate it.

The hearts, gingerbread and stars are machine appliqued on the fabric. I used 1 strand of dark blue floss for the embroidery.

There is a very light piece of quilt batting between the front and back of the wall hanging.

I lightly stained the dowel rod and then attached 2 ply jute for the hanger.
