Vintage from the 1950s

This is a gorgeous example of the mesh work done by Whiting and Davis during the mid 20th century. It's a creamy metal mesh with a satin-finish Lucite handle, in very good condition.

Some wear on the knobs near the handle and on the clasp but all of the mesh is intact and perfect and the wine-colored satin lining has no rips, tears or stains. There is one pocket inside which might once have held a mirror..

It measures 9 1/2 inches at its widest point near the bottom and is 8 1/2 inches from bottom to middle of handle.

Perfect for display or for that special evening.
