Here are two red-handled wooden kitchen tools that are sure handy to have. I believe they date back to the 1940s. In this collection is an Androck (made in U.S.A.) wire pastry blender/cutter used to mix the shortening/butter into the flour. I use mine to cut up hard-boiled eggs when making egg salad. It is 5 3/4" high x 4" wide with a comfortable red wooden handle that sports very few scrapes and chips. The second item is a red wooden-handled crinkle cutter that can be used for cutting vegetables, potatoes, and cheese. It is almost 7" long and the blade is marked "Stainless". This, too, has very few chips and scrapes. I don't think the previous owner knew the value of these tools as they hardly look used! These tools would be the perfect gift for the vintage kitchen utensil collector and would look so wonderful in a retro, farmhouse, or country chic kitchen...so cheerful!
