This is a half dollar that has been hand cut with a jeweler's saw to replicate a military dog tag. The chain that comes with this pendant is a 24" silver plated bead chain. These are made of circulated coins, which vary in degree of scratches.

These pendants are hand-made. Each is a unique work of art. If you have questions about an item, please feel free to ask. There may be a flaw to the workmanship, whether it is a small bubble in the resin, or a scratch on the circulated coin. We think this adds to the charm of the piece. If that bothers you, please do not order. I will do whatever possible to remedy a problem, but I cannot offer a refund or exchange for your mistake of misreading the description. ABOUT THESE PENDANTS
Each necklace starts with a hand-selected circulated coin, and is skillfully crafted into a pendant. The coin's individual characteristics are retained. It is then cleaned, and polished. Our jewelry is handmade one at a time. Thus the inspection of each pendant is done individually. We do not let items leave the shop until they are up to our standards. That said, these are handmade items. Each item will differ from the next. Coins used are circulated coins which give a story and character behind each item. There may be small flaws or scratches that add to the beauty of each item.

This section provides criminal penalties for anyone who alters coins for jewelry purposes and represents them to be something other than jewelry. Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code provides criminal penalties for anyone who “fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the Mints of the United States.” This statute means that you may be violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. No laws are broken in creating our original jewelry.

Return requests must be made within 30 days of purchase.

There is a restocking fee of 25% on custom made items., which partially covers the cost of supplies.
