Absolutely fabulous 1940s Hattie Carnegie wide brim hat. Natural straw with black velvet trim. The top of the brim is velvet. Hattie Carnegie was the first to introduce ready-to-wear to the high-end market. She designed hats from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of her designs are in the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It has a small hole in the cap area about the size of a pencil lead, but it is otherwise in excellent condition.

Brim is 4 inches wide.
Inside edge measures 20 inches
