Original antique hand coloured engraving of lappet moths.

The print shows: 1. Lappet - Gastropacha Querifolia, 2. Gastropacha pruni, 3. Gastropacha Potatoria, 4. Pine Moth - Gastropacha Pini, 5. Poplar Lappet - Gastropacha Populi, 6. Gastropacha Neustria, 7. Gastropacha Everia, 8. Gastropacha Castrensis.

The size of the print: 7,1" x 8,7" (18 x 22 cm)
Printed in 1863, K. Thienemanns Verlag, Stuttgart Germany, as an illustration for Fr. Berge's "Schmetterlingsbuch".

Concerning the age of the paper - cca. 150 years - spots and darkenings can be occured, but these do not effect the quality of the print itself as it can be seen on the scan.

Please note, that by antique prints due to their age some imperfections are to be expected.
