On Hold for Dawn Williams

This wire horse sculpture is an original art piece sculpted by myself, Antonia Hansen. This proud antique bronze stallion wire wrapped horse measures 4x3x10 inches (LxWxH) and has light catching iridescent eyes.
When I was a young girl I used to love to go horse back riding and often requested it on my birthdays! When I was about 13, I had a horse take off while I was riding it. Then at age 20 the same thing happen all over again. As a result I developed a fear for riding horses. Even though I can no longer enjoy riding them,I still love watching them and recreating their beauty!

The horse is constructed from a hand-sculpted free form wire skeleton wrapped with floral wire and painted with enamel paint. The paint is coated with a clear sealant and will not rub off or run when wet. Glass beads are used for the eyes. The structure is solid enough to with stand many falls. It will bend when direct pressure is put on them but will easily go back into place without breaking.

I do custom work. Please feel free to contact me and discuss the details.

Take care
