This is a superb clamper style bracelet made by Les Bernard in the late 1960s. We adore Les Bernard jewelry because of the bold visions and creativity of the designers and for the fine materials used to make the pieces as well as the expert craftsmanship.

This bracelet depicts two shiny gold tone leopards or other wild cats playing tug of war with a twisted rope or crown held tightly in their mighty jaws. Their facial expressions are masterfully realized. Each leopard sports a collar adorned with three glass cabochon stones in shades of jade green, ruby red and lapis blue. These stones give the bracelet a very regal look.

This is a classically beautiful bracelet that is one of the finest examples of this type of animal clamper style bracelet that we have ever seen.

The clamper releases at the leopards mouths, opening so that the crown is left in one cat's mouth, allowing the wearer to slip the bracelet on. The piece is signed "Les Bernard Inc" inside near the hinge.
