Six large 1950s greenish turquoise Japanese lampworked beads. They have tiny hand-made craters and and bumps, which make them very unusual. If you like texture, these old beads are all about it. They were poked and paddled and prodded like crazy on the mandrel. Their green turquoise color is gorgeous. They are comfortable to wear, despite their moonscape appearance. It was hard to get the color on these; they have an overglaze of green which in the first picture makes them look brighter than they really are. The middle picture makse them look duller. Trust me, they are gorgeous.

They measure about 15 mm long. Being handmade, the beads vary a bit in size, but as always, I'll match these up as much as possible. They are wonderful to work with, especially if you are making a statement project.
