Here we have an exquisite Cynthia Chuang Brooch Pin from Jewelry 10. The makers mark is stamped into the reverse.

It is made from ceramic, jewelry beads and enamel.

Here is a little more information about Cynthia Chuang referenced online:

"The jewelry that Cynthia Chuang and Erh-Ping Tsai create is as intricate and detailed as anything an emperor ever wore: rich with metals, semi-precious stones, paint and above all, porcelain and worked with colored clay inlays, underglazing, overglazing, and millefiore techniques. Their pieces invoke tradition in depicting the insects, butterflies and fish that have appeared in Chinese art for centuries.

Cynthia and Erh-Ping, a husband and wife who came to this country from their native Taiwan, have re-imagined and reinterpreted the subject matter to make it their own. They met when they were sculpture students at the National Taiwan Academy of Art in 1974. They moved to New York and earned their masters of fines arts degrees from Parsons School of Design in 1984. At that time they started their jewelry company."

This particular piece was made sometime in the 1980s, though the exact date is not clear.

It measures 4 inches long by 3 inches wide. It is in great condition.
