This is a pre-WW2 Hohner Super Chromonica 270 Harmonica with the Original Wood Box. This harmonica is remarkably clean for its age, and it shows very little wear. The top and bottom silver metal alloy plates and the brass support plates are free of rust and corrosion. The pear wood is in excellent condition, with no scratches or cracks. The slide bar is clean and the spring action is strong. It could, however, use a little silicon lubricant and a minor adjustment. One of the mounting screws on the top left of the piece has been replaced; but it does hold the piece together quite securely. The original wood box has tongue and groove mitered corners, which places its manufacture date in the 1930s. The upper clasp is still in place, but the lower home clasp is missing. Overall, I would rate this vintage harmonica in Very Good Condition.

I would also suggest that due to its age, it would make a very nice addition to a collection of vintage harmonicas rather than a daily player. It does work, and has a very mellow tone to it.
