in this original oil painted landscape a grove of majestic trees stands out against a background of a very bright blue sky, the imposing presence of these trees seems to protect the sheep grazing at their very feet in the meadow. The pink horizon line in the background allows our sight to journey into the distance. A feeling of power and serenity flows out of this scenery...
• Technique: gesso coated wood board, monochrome egg tempera underpaintings and multiple layers of thin colored oil glazings ( flemish technique ). The sides are gilded with copper leaf ( patinated aspect ).
