The Story of the Pendants: In 1992, I went to the Amalfi Coast with my parents. We stayed in Positano and spent some time on the rocky beach collecting these colorful ceramic pieces that washed up after who knows how many years of being tumbled in the ocean. This part of Italy (my country of birth) is famous for its ceramic tile production, and thanks to the factories tossing bad batches or damaged pieces into the water (littering?) we get these gorgeous one-of-a-kind findings. After being lost in the ocean, then lost in the attic for the last 20 years, they’ve got life ONCE AGAIN.

This particular pendant has pale green enamel paint remaining on the front side. The enamel paint has been textured and softly chipped by the sand and salt water over time. All edges of the irregular shard are smooth to the touch now, thanks to years of being worn down naturally. I sealed all sides of the ceramic with grout sealer which gives a subtle shine, drilled a hole with a diamond-tipped bit, and added a silver-plated pinch bail that loops onto a silver-plated chain. A lobster clasp is the final touch.

Pendant Size: Approximately 1 1/4" long by 3/4" wide
Chain: 20" (Can be altered upon request)

As you can imagine, each pendant is truly one-of-a-kind. I cannot reproduce anything you see in my shop, but please check out the Necklace Section to see other colors and shapes available.
