Here's a great gift for your literary loved one.

I'm a reuse artist, delighting in turning trash into treasure. This is a prime example. The bottle caps I save from my own (moderate) usage, and the pop tops I pick up off the ground. Really. Because I'm not a soda drinker, but I AM a collector of shiny metal things.

This necklace is a perfect birthday gift! I cut out the definition for "poem" from my well-torn-up vintage dictionary, added swipes of magenta and golden orange paint and a light touch of glitter to make this one shine. You know who it reminds you of!

The paper is set in place with heavy clear gel, then coated with a generous layer of "self-leveling clear gel" to seal and protect it. The bail (the piece that attaches the pendant to the chain) is a soda pop top. The ball chain is, alas, not salvaged, but the style fits perfectly. It is 18 inches long, but can be easily cut with wire cutters (probably scissors, too) to your desired length. I can do this for you on request.

I take custom orders for these pendants, and the 4th and 5th photos give you some ideas: horoscopes, map locations, dictionary words, sheet music, etc. Have fun with it! Custom orders take approximately one week to complete.
