I found a monotone illustration of the original of this Georges Lemmen poster in an old collection of L'Art Decorative magazines from 1899-1900. There doesn't appear to be a colour version still in existence (although I'm sure there must be one somewhere in France).
I explain on my website how I came to choose the colour palette I've used and the reason I've left the original artist's signature off this 'homage' to George Lemmen - a wonderful Belgium post-impressionist.
The original cafe is, of course, long gone.
This is a museum-quality poster made on long-lasting semi-glossy (silk) paper - weight: 170 gsm / 65 lb
