These special medieval style earrings are handcrafted from fine silver (999 silver), 925 sterling silver, 14k and 18k solid gold and green tourmaline. They have 14k solid gold ear wires which are perfect for silver lovers who are sensitive to silver.
They are light weighted and very easy to wear (they have open ear wires).
They look simply gorgeous !

Their beautiful flower pattern was created in a special technique, using hydraulic press.
I oxidized the earrings to bring out the beautiful special pattern.
Dangling down, a beautiful teardrop shaped green tourmaline, attached by 18k solid gold thin wire.

The square part of the earrings has a bit volume (it is hollowed on the inside) - and therefore, on the back of the earrings you’ll see a tiny hole that allows air to exit the inside of the earring when soldering it.

These earrings could also go perfectly with this special lovely ring http://www.etsy.com/listing/90914687/gold-and-silver-ethnic-ring-patterned

Sterling silver consists of 92.5 % pure silver and the rest is other metals, typically copper.
Pure silver is too soft and weak to make jewelry and therefore, other metals (7.5%) are added to improve to the quality.
To clean silver jewelry, use a soft polishing sterling silver cloth (you can purchase in every jewelry shop). Don’t use polishing cloth on an oxidized texture, as it will wear off.
For stone set jewelry, you can leave your jewelry to soak in a bowl of warm water with a mild liquid detergent before cleaning with a soft bristle toothbrush. Rinse under running water and use a soft cloth to dry the piece. This also applies to gold and platinum jewelry.
925 silver oxidizes when it is exposed to air, this is the main reason why silver jewelry tarnishes over time.
1. A sterling silver cleaning cloth can be a good solution, if the oxidation is not too bad.
2. Any silver cleaning paste/liquid will also clean the oxidation.
3. Baking soda, aluminum foil and boiled water - can do magic with sterling. Here are two short videos that demonstrate how it works. (It is not recommended to do if the oxidation is part of the texture/ design of the jewelry as it will come off) :

Jewelry with a matte finish (especially rings) may take on a polished appearance over time. Matte finish doesn’t stay forever. To restore the matte finish - take a new ScotchBrite (the green coarse kitchen sponge) and rub over the surface of the ring. It will bring back a matte finish. It might also cover (obscure) scratches if they are not deep. (For jewelry with stones - (Please note: ScotchBrite can be damaging to softer stones, so it is advisable to protect the stones by covering them with cellophane tape prior to buffing.)
Oxidation tends to fade over time. For re-oxidizing you may use bleach (yap!) deep the silver part of the jewelry in bleach for few minutes or for an hour.
Another home method – is using boiled eggs (!!!) as explained in this short video: http://jewelrymakingjournal.com/how-to-oxidize-sterling-silver-and-copper-with-boiled-eggs/

You can also buy the special oxidation liquid (Liver of sulfur) . Beware! It smells like rotten eggs (because of the sulfur). Please use caution when using it! Read the instructions carefully !!!
here’s a link for oxidation liquid: https://www.riogrande.com/Product/midas-liver-of-sulfur/331030
Please refer to “How do I keep oxidized jewelry from losing its oxidation? “
After restoring the oxidation, you can use ScotchBrite to reveal the hammered texture. Just slide the jewel slightly on the ScotchBrite, make sure you use minimal strength.
