Description

Rag Quilt Pattern Tutorial, sensory quilt, with lot of photos to show you how to make a rag quilt. This quilt is very easy to make and is a great beginning sewer project.

This is a Rag Quilt Pattern for Baby or Lap Quilt approx 38" x 32". It is easy to increase in side for a child or adult. Just add squares! Instant download. Simple to Make.

Babies love to touch and feel of the ragged edges of this quilt to sooth themselves. Quilts make a wonderful gift for a new mom.

The instructions include step by step photos to show you exactly how to make a perfect rag quilt. Rag Quilts are fun to make, are wonderful gifts and show how much you care! Make a keepsake they will never forget.

Materials Needed
1 pair of sharp Scissors or Spring loaded Scissors, (I like Tonic Spring Loaded)
1 Rotary Cutter (45 mm works fine)
1 Cutting Mat
1 Cutting Ruler
½ Yard of 5 different fabrics that compliment each other. Each ½ yard will give
you 8, 9” squares. You can use any Cotton quilting fabric, Flannel Fabric or
*Minky fabric. (Minky will not fray but makes a cute super soft quilt)
*Just a note about any Minky type fabric. It is not necessary to use the flannel batting
with it. You can use it if you wish but I have found it much easier to sew if I don't, since
the Minky material is already quite thick.
1 ¼ Yards of Flannel **(for batting), you can use any color, but make sure it
goes with your material because it will show at the ragged area of the quilt. I
usually use white.
Thread (I use white, but you can use any color that goes with your fabric)
Iron your material before cutting.

When completed your quilt will look similar to the quilts pictured.
