This 4 piece set of a LARGE crocheted couch doily with two chair doilies and an arm doily. They are so pretty!
They are in great USED Vintage condition! These are a heavier weight cotton and were made by one of my grandmothers.
An antimacassar is a small cloth placed over the backs or arms of chairs or the head or cushions of a sofa, to prevent soiling of the permanent fabric. These cloths were very common in the 19th and early 20th century because men used hair oil (Macassar) and these cloths protected the chairs or couch.
We don’t use sofa or chair antimacassars/doilies anymore, but they make lovely table doilies or dresser doilies or anywhere you need a touch of nostalgia!
They are in clean, pressed and starched condition. Just such a nice nostalgic accent for your home!
