Description

This is a zine created by myself and my best friend Kara during January of 2012, reissued October of 2014, and then reissued again in March 2018.
100% handmade, 4.25"x5.5", black+white, seventy-six pages, stapled.

This is an alphabetized guide of what is and isn't vegan-friendly in the fast-food, cafe, and diner chains throughout the continental United States. While traveling around the country and constantly being caught in cities with more fast food than public housing, we started finding ourselves repeatedly investigating what was vegan where. Upon discovering nothing like this had been created yet, we knew we had an obligation to compile it into a nice, convenient zine.

Covering over a hundred popular names throughout the entire country, this guide lays out what a vegan can eat where. Anyone in America trying to stay vegan on the cheap, on the road, or just in general, could use this pocket guide.

P.S. We do not condone in fast food being a main staple in your daily diet, but we did want to help with those traveling, those who miss the occasional convenience of fast food in a non-vegan world, those in food deserts, and those sick of being the odd one out eating salad and/or fries when dining out with a group of omnivorous friends.

If you don't like what you ordered, that's too bad. I'm eternally grateful you gave my work a shot and I'm truly sorry if you didn't enjoy it, but that's the "free market", right? I would suggest you pass it on to someone else who might like it.
