Wonderful primitive 19th century burlwood bowl
Oak handcarved bowl, beuatifully worn and well used.. 12" across. Likely from early-mid 1800's. Lovely grain and patina. Bowl shows its wear and age with a deep crack in the wood. I have had such cracks in antique bowls repaired using antique metal cleats, but I have left this one for the new owner to repair or leave as is. It will still serve you well holding fruit, eggs, veggies or what have you. I frankly enjoy seeing the old cracks and other flaws in beautiful antique wooden treenware.
A fine example of early primitive treenware.
Bowl is quite heavy and will ship insured.
