From my personal collection of antique treenware comes this beautiful early handcarved primitive wooden bowl.

Early primitive antique oak bowl, handcarved and possibly an oak burlwood bowl. 12" across. Likely from early-mid 1800's. Lovely grain and patina. Bowl shows its wear and age with a deep crack in the wood. I have had such cracks in antique bowls repaired using antique metal cleats, but I have left this one for the new owner to repair or leave as is. It will still serve you well holding
fruit, eggs, veggies or what have you. I frankly enjoy seeing the old cracks and other flaws in beautiful antique wooden objects.

Some old New England woodcarvers have suggested that this wonderful handmade bowl is very old, oak and likely burlwood. A fine example of early primitive treenware.

Bowl is quite heavy and will ship insured.
