Here is a vintage travel poster by Earl Thollander. It is of Mont St Michel. The poster is from the 1950's. It measures approximately 25.5" x 37.5". Will be shipped rolled in a mailing tube. Nice wall decor!

Mr. Thollander was born in 1922 in Kingsburg (Fresno County). He studied the the arts at City College of San Francisco and at the University of California at Berkeley before enlisting in the Navy during World War II. He served as a navigator and gunnery officer in the South Pacific. After the war, Mr. Thollander attended the San Francisco Art Institute and in 1947 married Janet Behr. He trained in illustration with Patterson and Hall, a company that provided for advertising agencies. Mr. Thollander also worked as a staff artist at the San Francisco Examiner. In 1960, Mr. Thollander embarked on a career as a freelance artist, pursuing fine art along with commercial assignments. He worked with watercolor, oil, acrylic, casein, colored pencil and monotype. Between 1951 and his death, Mr. Thollander had more than 61 one-man shows. Mr. Thollander illustrated 32 childrens' books and 20 cookbooks before he began to write, design and illustrate his own books. His first, "Back Roads of California" remained in print for 26 years. He wrote 10 books in all.
