This beautiful small casserole dish was wood-fired to 2350 degrees in an anagama. The flashing on this piece is amazing. Reds, oranges, browns, yellows, and even some gray where another piece was so close to this one in the kiln that the vapors from its surface glazed my pot with an orange peel effect. This piece was put into the kiln as unglazed greenware and fired right side up on 6 wads. I attached small lugs to the sides to help when lifting it from the oven.

This piece is food, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. I just ask that you please preheat it with your oven to reduce the thermal shock and decrease the risk of cracking.

The casserole measures about 8" from handle to handle, stands at about 3 1/2" tall, and holds 1 1/2 quart.
