Red and China Blue Weaving © 2005.

This one of a kind weaving started out as still life watercolor on creamy white italian watercolor paper. It depicted a blue china bowl with flowers on a patterned red cloth . Then I tore the painting into strips and wove them together. The bowl pattern, pencil marks and green leaves can be seen but because they are randomly woven, the overall style is abstract.

Paper weavings are something I love to create, whether I am upcycling a previous piece or creating surfaces and textures on paper specifically to weave.

SIZE: 11 x 11 (27.94 cm x 27.943 cm)
This artwork can be matted or mounted. I have sprayed the surface with a fixative. Can be displayed as a square or at an angle.

***A Matching Piece made from the same painting (see last thumbnail):

***Interested in a CUSTOM COLLAGE or WEAVING of your favorite colors or materials? I'd love to create that! Just send me a convo.
