These Art Nouveau antique sterling silver vases are from the Edwardian era; hallmarked in Sheffield, 1903 by Walker & Hall. The pair are in the Art Nouveau style and feature scroll detailing to the stems, scalloped edges and add elegance without being elaborate. They would compliment a contemporary home decor or a traditional one. What I love about them is that they add an edge of history to plain, handmade, white service or tableware. Gorgeous!!

Each vase measures 8 inches tall, by 3.25 inches in diameter.

The vases are filled at the base for balance. The base's bottoms have been covered with some sort of ancient leather or leatherette - I have not disturbed this, as the hallmarks are located on the bowls.

One of the vases has dimples in the cup. The other has a slightly twisted stem. I hope to look as good as them; dimples, twists and all, when I am 109 years old. I'm 46 and in worse shape than them. How they survived without being crumpled like tin - ohh, if only they could talk.

I managed to capture the largest dimple. The photo makes it look like a huge crater of a hole - its not. A jeweler could hammer it out with one ding...well, an expert jeweler would make many, many small dings due to the age of this and its rarity....
