Spread the tails out to the horizon,
Swim into the infinite light.
So the growing fortune always smiles at us

Original Materials: Hand made paper, Gouache, Calligraphy ink. Original size: 70x90cm
Koi fish symbolizes good fortune, growing wealth and well being.
The Japanese letter * eight 八* means ; future is bright, and long lasting prosperities.
So I designed two Koi fish wide spread in order to compose the letter eight and additionally the water movement is circled to create the alphabet 8 in the background as well.
Calligraphy is composed to show the movement of water and add a positive optimistic image.
The text above is my interpreted translation of the poem.
The direct translation is in fact ; us with a long lasting bright future.

It has been very popular for unisex and all generations. A wonderful meaningful gift for wedding, anniversary, baby birth, new homes, all new chapters of lives.

Arigato for visiting my atelier shop!
