The beautiful African Adinkra symbol AYA represent the fern. The fern is a delicate but hearty plant that is able to prosper in harsh environments. The wearer of this symbol suggests he/she has endured many hardships, adversities, and survived through much difficulty.

The image was deep etched (sandblasted) on the face of this olive jade stone and filled with a brown heat-set paint. The pendant is 30x40mm (1.18 x 1.57 in). The lovely bail is sterling silver (0.925).
