A charming vintage French folk skirt or petticoat dating to circa 1900 it is AMAZING ~ the pattern is what makes this SO special. The body pattern is stunning and the border is TERRIFFIC ! This petticoat opens in the back. I've never seen another like it, 100% cotton There are snaps for closing at the top, perhaps it was to allow room for the bustle ??? It's wonderful! ~*~ ideal for design inspiration or any clothing collector~*~ ( E 44 )
MEASUREMENTS : This gorgeous Vintage French skirt measures :
33 inches long
35 inch waist (if it were fastened)
CONDITION : This lovely textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. The border at the bottom was meant to be under the hem, however it's been unstitched. So, for a petticoat it's being sold for repair! If you're purchasing for Design inspiration, it's perfect for this!! ~! There are some pale age marks here and there ~*~
