There is an advantage to buying a scarf of many colors - you can wear it with various pieces in your wardrobe. It can pick up a solid color, or be a vibrant contrast to a jacket or top. How very practical in these times!
This multi-colored silk scarf is on the pastel side, but is dyed with a variety of hues, from russet to chartreuse, as well as yellow and blue. I used a tie dye technique of bunching the scarf blank into a ball, tying it with rubber bands, then dyeing the inside with a plastic syringe, and the outside by rolling it in dye. It makes for many different patterns that form an asymmetric surface design. Tying it tightly produces an intricate pattern of wrinkles. I've left them in a bit, which gives more dimension and shine to the scarf. One of a kind!
Silk is light and soft against the skin. Yet it will keep your neck warm on those cold days at the office.
