Keep your needles in top shape using this great sharpening pad! After having one of these for the last few years, I wouldn't not want to do without it in my sewing room.

This sharpening pad can help prolong the life of your machine needles and bring some new life back to your hand sewing needles.

To sharpen your sewing machine needle, just leave the machine threaded and stitch directly through the pad.

You can sew on the sharpener with or without the machine threaded. Personally, I like to leave it threaded because it's convenient and it also flattens the new pad down some, which will make it easier to get started the next time.

Another neat thing about this pad is how easy it is to sharpen your hand sewing needles.

Hand sewing isn't everyone's favorite part of sewing, and it can be downright dreadful if your needle is dull. But if you are like me, you might not remember exactly where you left that little package of hand stitching needles...(don't worry, someday you'll find it buried in a fabric pile somewhere).

But if you have this purple pad handy (tip: hang it on the wall using an office "binder" clip), you can push the needle through the pad about 10-20 times and it will be super sharp and ready to go.

This makes a nice gift for anyone who likes to sew. It's unique and useful and probably something they don't already own.
