SUBJECT: This lovely embossed vintage postcard, No. 655/6 from American Art Postcard Company, offers a painting by the artist S. M. Salke. A curious horse investigates a pair of pigeons come to roost in the hay. The postcard is titled "Happy Be The Course," but the phrase "Making Friends" appears in very small, subtle block print above the horse's head.

HORSE NOTES: My mare would be eating that hay, pigeons or no pigeons.

ITEM DETAILS: This vintage 1920s postcard measures 3.5 x 5.5 inches. It is in very good condition, with one crease along the right edge of the oval inner border. It's otherwise free of blemishes, stains or flaws.

SHIPPING & HANDLING: Paper items are wrapped with care in acid-free sleeves, placed between two pieces of cardboard and shipped in secure packaging. Purchases are shipped within two business days of payment.

VINTAGE: All vintage and antique items have unique histories and are offered for sale in exactly the condition they were found. They are sold “AS IS.”
