This is a great working wind-up alarm clock made for Westclox by the CT Corporation in Germany. I estimate this beauty was made in the early 60s. I think Laura Van Dyke had one on "The Dick Van Dyke Show", but I'm not sure.
It comes in it's original box, but the original leather case has gone missing.
It is model number 44024, the Travette.
Good idea to have one of these wind-up clocks just in case of a power outage.
The main casing is of a gold-tone or brass like color.
Although I'm not one of them, some people like the gentle rhythmic ticking of an alarm clock to help put them asleep. Yes, the alarm works with a nice steady brriiiinnnnnnnggggggg sound.
The clock face has that nice distinctive retro style of the 60s.
This item is in very good vintage condition.
The instructions and guarantee booklet also come in the box (please be sure to follow the instructions when setting the alarm feature, you must turn the dial in a counter-clockwise direction).
Just throw this baby in your travel bag and never worry about waking up in time for that important meeting!
