This silverplate Tea Set service was manufactured by Rogers 1881. The set is in gorgeous condition with no loss of plate, dings or dimples. The interiors are clean and its ready for use. The pedestal base is a favorite of mine because it helps the set blend in with both traditional and contemporary mugs, dishes and home decor.

Rogers was bought by Oneida sometime in the 1950's which continued to use the Rogers mark until towards the 1960's. The later 1950s sets were of lesser quality than the earlier sets. Earlier sets were often quadruple plate. This set is not marked quadruple but it is heavy and very well made. I feel it is from the early 1950's perhaps manufactured before the buy-out by Oneida.

The teapot is smaller than most at a total height of 9.5" with a diameter at the widest point of 4.5".
