This teapot was fired in a soda kiln to cone 10 or 2350 deg. F. When the kiln was around 2200 degree, a baking soda solution was introduced into the kiln. The sodium from baking soda reacts with the surface of the clay and becomes a glaze. This teapot has a very nice organic brown color. The inside of the teapot is glazed with the same brown glaze and the color is almost the same as the exterior.

This teapot is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe. Do not use on stovetop or open flame.
