Here is an old copper kettle who is looking for a home. She is shapely and curvaceous with a gorgeous coppery tan. Her special abilities include watering plants and impersonating a humidifier by holding simmering water on top of a woodstove. She hopes, one day to become a planter filled with either a 'maidenhair fern' or a perhaps a hanging succulent like 'string of pearls.'

Her height is about 6 1/2 inches, not including the brass and wooden handle. Her diameter is approximately 8 1/2 inches. When I asked this coppery little kettle what her favorite feature is about herself, she replied without hesitation, "My spout, of course! I've been told it's very sexy; personally I don't see that, but it does have a lovely shape and is almost 6 inches long!"

If I was asked the same question, I would probably say, the handle of the lid is my favorite. Two crescent shaped slices have been made on either side of the wooden knob. Then circle of copper holding the knob was pushed up and out slightly. This created a release point for steam. I imagine the maker intended to create a whistle by doing this, but alas, it didn't work. By the way, there are no makers marks that I can find on the kettle anywhere.

It would take very little cleaning to get her back on the stove, but remember, she's good for more than just boiling water!! If you have any questions or would like to see more photos,
please let me know.

Thanks for checking her out.
Peace, Kathy
