24" by 36" acrylic and collage on gallery wrapped canvas with 1.5 inch edge. Wired and ready to hang without a frame. The edges are painted black.

This painting was painted as both an homage to Matisse and music. It was done from a set up in my studio of a fish bowl in front of a Matisse print of two woman, one with a guitar. The green bottle has irises from my back garden. It was one of those "gift" type of works made with colorful abandon and joy, and not a lot of struggle. There are pages of hymns, maps and bits of vintage Golden Encyclopedia papers that are under and over the paint.
