2012

This is one the first of many new pieces to come, ushering in the new year.
This is a lovely piece combining different ingredients in a monochromatic color pallet
First of all the chain is aluminum, very shiny and bright, and comfortable to wear as it is lightweight, and not a strain on the neck. It is also a chain mail like chain, it is three dimensional
round and not flat

This reminds me of photos friends returned with, from an Alaskan cruise, both in the pictures and I'm told also up front and in person. I don't know the reason for sure, I believe it is the water content in the ice, but it looks blue. So much nicer, beautiful and unspoiled, unlike the ice and snow I am used to seeing in winter. These are those colors....

The beads are Amazonite, the long teardrops that is. The small rounded rectangles have a twist to them, sort of suggesting movement while standing still. They are made from Mother of Pearl. The focal bead is an assemblage of mother of pearl, having a crackled effect, it is mounted on a rounded backed piece (of something, I don't really know what, maybe acrylic) it sits upon a wire-wrapped section of the chain. This keeps it where it belongs and also backlights the piece, giving it a bit of drama. Oh, and last but not least...amazing as it is, the lovely round faceted coins are not crystal, or even glass, they are acrylic. They are dazzling, and sparks of light are reflected off them and dance all over. You have to see them in person. I didn't realize they weren't glass or crystal until I got them home and examined they closely.

Chain measures 18 and a half inches, but you can adjust it as small as you want. The clasp holds both sides of the chain in a padlock shaped contraption, that ends in a lovely heart. The focal measures 1 and 6/16 inches. The teardrops measure roughly 1 and a quarter, the lengths vary, some slightly longer and some shorter. The coins are 3/4 of an inch long, as well as across, they are puffed coins not flat.

Anything I may have missed? convo me for any questions that you may have. Thanks for looking, and much more to come in the next 12 months!
