Fish for dinner, with a little luck. This hillbilly fisherman is headed to his favorite fishing hole.

This gent is carrying a bamboo fishing pole and a bait bucket. The legs of his home spun pants are cuffed and held up with a single suspender. The patch on the left knee of his pants matches his suspenders. His mustard colored pullover shirt has ragged sleeves. He has salt and pepper hair and beard.

This hillbilly is about 10 inches tall to the top of his hat. His fishing pole is about 9 1/2 inches long. I carved the man from a single piece of bass wood and brought out the details with acrylic paint, then sealed him with a clear coat. His fishing pole is made from bamboo and his bait bucket is made of poplar wood with a wire handle. My shop mark ( JH connected ) is on one foot and the month and year of completion ( Jan. 2012 ) is on the other.

His fishing pole will be removed from his hand before shipping, it is easily reinstalled when you get him home.
